It is not a trend-driven studio, nor a volume-led furniture label. It is a design house structured around long-term thinking, material rigour, and controlled production.
Every decision — legal, creative, operational, and financial — is designed to support durability.
Capital is intended to serve the long-term development of the company, rather than determine its direction. Lucaz is seeking aligned, patient investment capable of supporting the transition from a substantial original design archive into technically resolved, economically sound, and repeatable products.
It is an invitation to participate in building a disciplined, author-led design company with measurable commercial potential.
INVESTMENT FOCUS
The immediate investment priority is the Core Collection, beginning with lighting.
Capital will support the production infrastructure required to move from design archive to physical product: senior production expertise, technical development, engineering and compliance, prototyping, testing, tooling where required, supplier development, and the operational foundations for controlled market entry.
Lucaz Re:born remains a later strategic layer, developed through selected acquisitions or exclusive rights once the Core business has established sufficient technical, operational, and commercial foundations.
Future capital structures may therefore differ between the Core Collection and Lucaz Re:born, reflecting their distinct IP and commercial requirements.
OPERATIONAL ROADMAP
Lucaz enters its execution phase with a structured, depth-first approach. The immediate objective is not to launch a broad collection, but to establish the production knowledge and physical evidence required to build the company properly.
Phase 1 – Archive & Production Foundation
– Document and structure the existing design archive
– Appoint a senior Production Lead / Consultant
– Conduct a technical and commercial diagnostic of the strongest lighting families
– Establish the initial development budget and funding route
– Clarify IP, confidentiality, compliance, and production requirements
Phase 2 – Selection & Technical Development
– Select the first hero lighting family and complementary pieces with the Production Lead
– Develop CAD, specifications, BOM and cost architecture
– Establish manufacturing routes and validate specialist makers and suppliers
– Undertake material and process testing
– Begin pre-compliance work, including CE, UKCA and UL requirements and DALI integration where relevant
Phase 3 – Prototype & Production Validation
– Develop and refine physical prototypes
– Obtain maker quotations and validate unit economics
– Test tooling, assembly, finishes, quality-control criteria and repeatability
– Establish lead-time, packaging, logistics and working-capital requirements
– Build the technical documentation and production knowledge required for repeatable manufacture
Phase 4 – Controlled Market Entry
– Introduce production-intent pieces through controlled presentations and selected professional relationships
– Develop first installed projects, photography and film in appropriate spatial contexts
– Begin sales through direct relationships, architects, interior designers and selected galleries or showrooms
– Refine pricing, lead times, deposits, quality control and supplier performance through real orders
– Expand production and commercial activity according to demonstrated demand and operational evidence
LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT
Furniture and objects will enter technical development selectively as the production system develops, allowing Lucaz to grow as a design house without forcing premature catalogue expansion.
Lucaz Re:born can subsequently become a more significant second strategic layer, supported by its own rights-acquisition, legal and commercial framework.
Growth will follow evidence: product quality, production reliability, unit economics, client response, channel performance and the emergence of durable advantages that become more difficult to replicate over time.
